Wildlife

In 2013, Windmill Animal Rescue director, Toni Maat, extended her care for animals to helping rehabilitate wildlife. After significant studying, testing, and preparation, she has created a safe environment in which to rehabilitate orphaned wildlife so they can be released back into the wilderness. She has a master permit and is a member of the Wildlife Rehabilitator Advisory Committee with the MNDNR, and is on the board of Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release in Minnesota. In addition to Toni, Dani has her general permit and we soon will have 2 novice permit holders in our staff of volunteers. For information about obtaining your wildlife rehabilitation certification, please visit the State of Minnesota informational page.
