A donor may wish to make a gift in memoriam of a family member, valued friend, or pet.
This method conserves the donor's cash while helping to avoid capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated securities. The market value of the securities is deductible in the current year's tax return. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer required, transferring the policy to the Windmill Animal Rescue may provide benefits to both Windmill Animal Rescue and the donor. The Trust would ultimately collect the policy value and the donor may be entitled to an income tax deduction in the amount of the policy's value. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
The donor may list The Trust as a beneficiary in their will. The distribution of the estate is then made at the donor's death.
Every dollar you donate to the Windmill Animal Rescue helps ensure we can provide the necessary care for any cat in need of re-homing and a second chance at loving. We are a 501(c) (3) organization so all monetary donations are tax deductible to the extent that IRS allows.
Donations go towards the basics like vaccinations and medications, to specialty surgery for those like Briggs, who came to us as a stray with a damaged tail that required removal. Donations also go towards our wildlife that are fostered until they are ready to be released.
Windmill Animal Rescue is a nationwide community of supporters and volunteers passionate about making a difference to the lives of cats and wildlife in need and keeping them out of harm's way. The cats come to us for various reasons from strays, to changes in their owner's life, that may include the death of the owner. Wildlife usually come to us when injured or orphaned.
Whatever the reason, we take the cats and wildlife in with dignity for those surrendering them and without vindication. After all, It's All About the cats and wildlife.
